PAUL & BRIDGET ABBOTT

How did Paul and Bridget end up at a flight school in Spokane, Washington?  The short version is that before they were married, they each felt God called them to go overseas as missionaries. When they became “empty nesters” God opened the door for them to go to Costa Rica where they were hosts of their mission’s community development center until 2022. Upon the couple’s return to the US they talked to a variety of ministry leaders and heard that there was a growing need for missionary pilots. Their heart’s desire is to invest their wisdom and experience in the next generation of missionary aviators.

Their first step in this new adventure was to join Proclaim Aviation Ministries . The ministry is sending them to Moody Aviation which is one of Moody Bible Institute’s undergraduate programs located in Spokane, Washington. Paul will be working in student services discipling students spiritually, mentoring and coaching in life skills. He will also be doing member care with interns and staff. Bridget is studying to become an educational therapist and will do testing and academic coaching. The couple is content to be back in the Northwest and closer to their three grown children and grandchild.
